"A Life in Pieces: The Diary and Letters of Stanley Hayami" is an immersive virtual reality experience that brings to life the wartime journal of Stanley Hayami, a Japanese-American youngster detained with his family at the Heart Mountain camp in Wyoming during WWII. This project uses interactive Quill animation and Unity-based VR technologies to create a compelling narrative experience. Through the eyes of Stanley, viewers go around a historically accurate replica of Heart Mountain, witnessing the everyday life, hardships, and dreams of the imprisoned Japanese-American population.
